"I had been searching for about 2 years to find any high-end fitness equipment aimed at strengthening my bones and muscles thru isometric training. I reviewed several options until I got to know the viiiv Pro. Rob Schweitzer, viiiv's founder & CEO, convinced me from the start that the viiiv Pro was the right piece of equipment to support my personal goals. Subsequently Rob and his team went out of their way to get the equipment shipped to Europe, to instruct me how to install and use the viiiv Pro and they have been supporting me in a highly professional way on any after-sale requests that I have had so far. I have now been using the viiiv Pro for over a year. It is a great tool. It is reliable, well designed and most importantly, it helps me to significantly strengthen my bones and muscles."
"We have had our viiiv Fitness static contraction machine for about ten days now and I, who have been around the fitness industry for almost 50 years, am blown away by the spectacular results my clients have demonstrated in just 2 viiiv sessions. Ten to 40% strength increases in real myofibril contraction force as a result of one workout (and we allowed for a learning curve). Exercises were: chest press, core pulldown, leg press, and a vertical lift (deadlift). Maximum exertions were 5-10 seconds. The first workout established a baseline of strength and stimulated growth...and the second workout today, 7 days later, measured that growth and stimulated new growth for next week, 7 days from now. … This is the new paradigm. We have reasoned incorrectly that we want to increase strength by adding a lot of muscle and we will become strong and bigger. But our strength increases very marginal even when we gain a large amount of muscle...hence our power to weight ratio gets worse and worse. Most of the increased muscle size comes from storing more fuel in the muscle as opposed to increasing its contractile strength. Instead, we should be trying to maximally increase contractile strength while gaining little muscle mass from storage. Bodybuilders are extreme examples of grossly overblown storage while remaining quite relatively weak in many cases. Ninety-nine percent of the work they perform does little or anything for real strength development. I could go on and on about this and I will...but for now realize that if you are lifting weights, using machines or bands, running, swimming, or biking you are really missing the boat....expending energy for no good purpose, risking injury from overuse, never getting closer to the finish line."
"I am 67 years old and have practiced some form of strength training since I was a teenager. When faced with the prospect of staying strong as I was getting older, I started researching different methods that I could continue into my 90’s and beyond. Getting older along with nagging injuries from younger years creates challenges and isometrics seemed to be a possible solution. In the past, although studies suggested it was a viable training system, it was hard to measure progress. Modern technology has provided the missing link via load plates, strain gauges, bluetooth and high tech apps which allow tracking of effort and progress down to the exact force applied along with the associated weight. I needed something that would last a lifetime and at the same time be easy to use. I also wanted my wife to be able to use it. She has health challenges and was diagnosed with osteoporosis. Sufficient force is needed on the muscular/skeletal structure to reverse bone loss. The problem is that with dynamic exercise (movement exercises), it is extremely unlikely that one is able to generate the force required to stimulate osteogenesis in a safe and effective manner. Strength is more than muscle. It is really the amount of muscle that you are able to recruit and that is dependent on tendons, ligaments, bones and the neural network to activate maximum capabilities. Isometrics trains all of these in a most efficient and safe manner. Next came the search of available products suitable for home use. For me, viiiv was the answer. It is solid, well constructed and very easy to use. My wife and I have now owned and used our viiiv weekly since September 2020. My strength has improved 83%, which is amazing since I was consistently training and pretty strong before starting. My wife’s strength has improved 50%. I had the opportunity to train my sister-in-law while she visited this spring and her strength increased 56% in just 4 sessions over 3 weeks! I am convinced that the viiiv is the most time efficient and effective system to build real world strength at any age."
"I used to be a personal trainer. When I was first introduced to the viiiv Fitness apparatus, I was extremely skeptical about it being a worthwhile workout. I could not imagine that pushing on these bars was going to do any good. I can honestly say that it is one of the best workouts I've ever done. You work your core and every muscle in an unbelievably thorough way. I also thought it was a joke when I was told that I only needed to do the exercises once a week!! To be honest, the workout is so complete and intensive that you can't do it more than that (as long as you're doing each exercise correctly). I am so glad my chiropractor decided to get this equipment in his office."
"I wasn't really into working out or going to the gym. Not enough time to make that kind of commitment. When I was shown the viiiv Fitness machine and instructed on how to use it, I was pleasantly surprised. I get a complete workout without having to spend hours in the gym. And best of all, only one time a week. After doing the program, I feel invigorated. In the beginning I was a little sore because of the core workout, but over time that has gone away. Now I feel great when I'm done and it didn't take hours out of my day!"
"I'd been going to the gym for a very long time and usually did a very intensive workout; weights, bells, etc. When I first saw the equipment at my chiropractor's office I honestly thought it wasn't going to be worth my time. But, I thought I'd give it a try. After I was instructed on how to properly use the equipment, I was still very skeptical - until I did each of the exercises. Wow! I can honestly say it is one of the best, most complete workouts I've ever done. I'm really glad I was introduced to this concept. Whole new ballgame!!"
